Arsenal reportedly tried to recruit Chelsea vice-captain Jorginho over the summer.

Athletic claims the talks took a position while Mikel Arteta sought to land the Italian midfielder.

It is admitn that Jorginho sought to follow Thomas Partey’s game.

But the ace ended up staying at Stamford Bridge.

KANTE BELIEVES IT

Frank Lampard praised N’Golo Kante’s recent effect after his return to full physical form.

The Chelsea player smiled: “We worked very hard to get him back in shape and as new to managing his education and playing time.

“But their degrees of functionality are high. I’m satisfied with the way you play.

“Because every time you exercise and leave it off on a leash in exercise, it makes ridiculous exits because that’s how it plays.

“We’re very careful with that and the minute we’re in a position and I hope this continues. “

YOU’RE THE WERN I WANT.

Frank Lampard praised Timo Werner’s functionality in the 2-0 win in Newcastle.

Chelsea’s manager said, ‘He [Werner] has had a few opportunities and it doesn’t suit him, but I think it was a real risk to us all the time.

“You want players of that quality to win the game and the speed with which you move with the ball is something special.

“He’s so selfless and you depend on those top-notch players. “

Love it or turn it on

Frank Lampard suggested Chelsea remain “humble” after his 2-0 win over Newcastle.

The Blues have now won 3 wins directly and are fighting for the most sensible spot on the table.

Lampard told BT Sport: “It’s not a simple game. We play well in patches and the result is in those games.

“The Premier League is tough, relentless, and we take the game very well.

“I probably wouldn’t be excited to be the sensibleest of the leaderboard for five minutes. It’s vital to be humble and know it’s a long career.

FOR KYL

Premier League groups are on red alert after former Monaco president said Kylian Mbappé was seriously considering leaving PSG.

Vadim Vasilyev told Telefoot, “You will have to make some very specific decisions, and at this point it is more aimed at an outcome. “

“Nothing is impossible. Kylian is young and what he wants to win are titles. He’s ambitious. He wants to win everything and break all the records. “

“If the PSG proposes an ambitious project, where it feels comfortable and with features to go too far and promises that it can win everything in its career, it may simply renew.

VERDICT BY SIMON PHILLIPS

Chelsea is becoming another kind of beast this season Frank Lampard.

Last season, we witnessed difficulties and frustrations when Lampard’s team controlled the games, but struggled to take down the teams.

But this afternoon’s 2-0 win over Newcastle showed lampard had discovered the key to unlocking low-block defenses, and that’s a damaging sign for the rest of the Premier League.

CALL TOFF

Wayne Rooney has revealed that Everton sought him out to sign for Chelsea than Manchester United in 2004 because they presented the maximum money.

He told the UTD podcast: “I knew that [joining United] was an option before Euro 2004.

“I knew Manchester United was looking to point me out. I think going to the Euros and doing well there probably added a little more cash to the move-in fee, but I broke my foot and discovered a few things.

Everton was having a hard time making cash at the time and I found out they were also listening to people’s offers. They were going to pressure me to signal Chelsea because they were going to pay the maximum cash.

“But once I knew United was interested, I sought confirmation that they wanted to point at me. Once I knew they wanted to point at me, it was the only club [for me]. It’s the best solution for me. “

WILD SIDE

Chris Wilder has criticized club bosses for their “selfish” attempts to bring in five submarines.

He said, “They’re selfish. You might say it’s everyone’s business, but I’m not sure.

“I still don’t agree with the fact that it’s a physical thing, knowledge doesn’t convince me.

“If they move to 3-0 in front of the groups they beat, it gives them the opportunity to replace five players.

“There is a cry that we had to deal with the mindset of the players.

“I’m not sure right now of our social life outside of football that it’s going too well, that players with 250,000 euros a week aren’t in their 18s.

“They’re whores as far as I’m concerned. “

QUALIFICATIONS SUITE

Mateo Kovacic – 8

Turns out he enjoys the freer and more complex role he’s playing right now and has achieved some other decent features today.

Good with the ball, quick on property and power to get up and come back.

Mason Mount – 9

In fact, he likes to play in the central role and that’s all Chelsea did well, adding a big centre for Chelsea’s first goal.

In the first half, Mount had more touches than the entire Newcastle team that dominated.

Hakim Ziyech – 8

The guy Chelsea enthusiasts aptly call “a code of traps” today, full of creativity and elegance, is a pleasure to see the way he sings long, short passes.

Tammy Abraham – 7

He worked the attack, but his touch was bad. He provided a fair end to the purpose of Chelsea’s moment after Werner’s correct paintings.

Timo Werner – 6

His speed remains a real risk on the outside and behind, but he is to blame for the lack of opportunity today, especially a genuine goalkeeper in the first part and then some other at the start of the first part.

But he made up for the mistake with the race with the ball he made for Abraham’s goal.

MORE QUALIFICATIONS

James Reece – 7

James creates a right-wing partnership with Ziyech.

He hurt the attack and forged in the back this afternoon.

Antonio Rudiger – 5

He did not take advantage of his infrequent possibility of beginning and seemed questionable in the back and in possession.

Bring the same forward-sighted progressive passes as Thiago Silva.

Kurt Zouma – 7

Another comfortable and forged functionality of Zouma, who has sought to move things a little more than his defensive companion.

Ben Chilwell – 6

He noted Chelsea’s first purpose very well by forcing the opposite purpose of its appearance and produced a steady performance.

It was more of an afternoon to do his homework than something more remarkable.

N’Golo Kante – 9

The Chelsea captain in the afternoon just one step ahead of the rest of today in the deepest role.

He was all over the box and even orchestrated Chelsea’s deep attacks.

CHELSEA RATINGS

N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount stole the screen when Chelsea won 2-0 over Newcastle.

Frank Lampard’s men won their fifth game in the rebound after a purpose opposed to Federico Fernandez’s gave them a quick lead.

Tammy Abraham doubled Chelsea’s account in the second half to seal the deal.

That’s how Simon Phillips rated each and every Chelsea player that day. . .

Odouard Mendy – 7

He brings that confidence to Chelsea’s baseline and continued with that today.

Mendy certainly wasn’t busy this afternoon, however, he did everything he asked for and showed a clever cast.

SUPER FRANK

Frank Lampard comforted Ray Clemence’s son after the legend’s death at a time before Chelsea’s match in Newcastle.

The Blues boss made his way to Stephen Clemence’s warm-ups at St James’ Park before lunch begins.

Lampard and Clemence, who are part of Steve Bruce’s Newcastle training team, shake hands and kissed.

The couple had a verbal exchange with Clémence that seemed to say, “Thank you Frank. “

He then gave Lampard his thumb in the air when they separated the Premier League crash.

Clemence Sr died at the age of last weekend.

CLAUDE COMFORT

Chelsea legend Claude Makelele refused Manchester United before joining the Blues in 2003.

Makelele was one of the first signings of Roman Abramovich’s revolution at Chelsea that summer, sealing a play of 16. 8 million pounds from Real Madrid after submitting a transfer request to The Bernabéu.

The former French midfielder has revealed that Manchester United were also interested in signing before the 2003–04 season, although he had already promised his long career at Chelsea.

Makelele told FourFourTwo: “I had noticed how things were going at Real Madrid. I told Chelsea that “if I leave, I’ll stop by. “I made them a promise.

“They did everything they could to point me out. I was 30 at the time, but they still paid a giant move-in fee.

“I went to Chelsea because they came to me first. Others like Inter and Manchester United came up to me and showed me interest before I left for Madrid.

ANTON’S AGONY

Anton Ferdinand spoke about the consequences of being the victim of alleged racial abuse through John Terry in 2011.

The centre-back played for Queens Park Rangers opposite Chelsea on Loftus Road. The Rs controlled to secure an invaluable 1-0 victory over their West London rivals, but the attack was overshadowed by one of the most debatable incidents in Premier League history.

An FA panel found that Terry was to blame for “using abusive and/or insulting words . . . that included a reference to the “color and/or race” of the party. And Ferdinand, now 35, was told about the heartbreaking consequences, his mother eventually died of cancer.

He told the Guardian: “There have been domino effects. Your targeted space. Eggs and bricks were thrown. There have been death threats.

“I know it wasn’t my fault he got sick, but consciously [the concern] was still there. Seeing the documentary through my family’s eyes, I knew my mother couldn’t help me when she would have.

“She was watching her son pass through anything she experienced for many years. I can sense why I unconsciously blamed myself, why I just couldn’t sleep and was afraid of myself. “

LAMPARD WAILING CALENDAR

Frank Lampard has criticized the football government for having his team play at 12. 30 on Saturday after a break.

Several Blues stars traveled the world in the recent national football prevention and Lampard was unhappy with the time his stars had to rest.

“We’ve been with 4 players overall in recent weeks.

“Most of our people have travelled, they will return tomorrow to Newcastle, then they will return, fly to Rennes on Monday and then return.

“I’m worried that I may see that muscle injuries are spreading throughout the Premier League.

“The numbers are there if other people need to come in and look at them carefully to make it clear. There is a correlation between adjustment after adjustment, 0 pre-season, the calendar is tighter, it is simply not an unusual sense”.
