WORTH IT
Arsenal has asked Newcastle to win 25 million pounds for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, after rejecting the Wolves’ bratish offer of 15 million pounds.
The Gunners are looking for the most productive award for their young Star Academy, who lived up to Community Shield’s victory over Liverpool yesterday.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho also wants the versatile 23-year-old, called up for the first time by England boss Gareth Southgate this week.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is remodeling his equipment and believes he can use Maitland-Niles cash to fund recruits.
But that number can scare the magpies.
‘DARK HORSES’
Danny Murphy has tipped Arsenal to challenge for the top four next season – as long as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sticks around and the signings come good.
Writing for the Mail, he said: “If you can upload a few more signatures, I think Arsenal can be a black horse for the four most sensitive.
“As things stand, they would cause disruption to teams, but as long as they do smart races, they will remain vulnerable.
“Willian is a wonderful signing, with his enthusiasm and his winning mentality. Gabriel Magalhaes, Lille’s central defender, is almost over the line.
“If they get the transfer of Dani Ceballos – their most productive player at the end of last season – and point out Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid, who would give them tenacity and physicality in midfield, I think they have a team to challenge Chelsea and Manchester United for champions.
“Again, none of this will do much unless Aubameyang puts a pen on the paper.”
GUNNER WINS IT?
This is how the start of the season is for Arsenal…
NOTHING GOOD
Matthew Upson claimed that Emiliano Martinez, Rob Holding and Ainsley Maitland-Niles played Liverpool to “create” a move away from Arsenal.
He told BBC Radio Five Live: “It’s interesting. Sometimes, you think, do they play to create a movement?
“Or to create interest in them to advance players if the player passes or if the club moves them?
“Hold, you’d say he’s a player who potentially needs to move on, but you might have a list of other central defenders you’d spend besides Holding before him.”
WIZARD OF OZ
Out-of-favour Mesut Ozil has congratulated his team-mates after the Community Shield win.
Yet again, the German was left out of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

PIERRE DE PRESSURE
Darren Bent suggested the Gunners respond to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s demands after the win over Liverpool.
I’m sure each and every Arsenal will agree with this tweet.

AUBA AND IN
Mikel Arteta who thought Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had been “convinced to stay” with Arsenal.
He then added: “My task is to verify to convince him that he is in the right position at the right time,” Arteta told BBC Radio Five Live.
“I think they gave us that and then we have to do the documents and it takes a little time.”
GOOD MORNING ARSENAL FANS
It’s more Wembley glory for Mikel Arteta when his team raised the net shield on Saturday.
Star-style Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made headlines with a sensational first game before scoring the penalty.
His long career was questioned after the game and he hinted that he would signal a lucrative new contract.
He said: “We’ll see you in the next few days. We get the trophy today and that’s it.
“We’re getting better. There are still paintings to be done, but I am satisfied and it is an exciting time to be an Arsenal player.”
Arteta was more positive about his long term, as he admitted that he was “close” to signing a lucrative agreement.
In another news of plays, goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez is searched through Aston Villa for a move of 10 million pounds.
But Arsenal will ask for at least double that if they are tempted to make money.
Defender Rob Holding is also the last door and is expected to register for Newcastle on a season-long loan.
One player who will not register soon is Houssem Aouar of Lyon after testing positive for coronavirus.
The midfielder is a key goal for Arteta in front of his team.
Loop
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang mocked his awkwardness in the FA Cup clash by linking the Community Shield with a SAFETY CEINTURE.
The Gabonese forward made his Arsenal teammates laugh after his 2–1 win over Chelsea this month by dropping the FA Cup trophy on the turf.
But after scoring the decisive penalty in Saturday’s victory in the Community Shield penalty shootout over Liverpool, Aubameyang took steps to keep it from repeating itself.
When posting a video on social media, the Gunners captain showed the trophy in the team coach’s seat with a seat belt.
Unable to involve his laughter, Aubameyang joked: “Very important, the seat belt. Very important. Then I can’t let him down!”
SEE MAIT
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has hinted that he will probably leave Arsenal this summer.
The midfielder has hit Wolves and Tottenham with a 20 million pounds.
When asked about his long career after the Community Shield victory, he said, “I’m an Arsenal player until I’m told otherwise.
“My center is at the club and as long as I’m here I’m going to give a hundred percent all the time. So that’s it.
AUBA LA LUNA
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will sign a new contract.
The striker had fans guess when after scoring in the Community Shield win.
But the Asturian remained positive at the conclusion of a lucrative 250,000 euros consistent with the week.
He said: “Great matches, moments, players.
“He responded very well to that kind of pressure. He was in the FA Cup final and the same today.
When asked about his new contract, he said, “We’re close.”
GUESSING GAME
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continued to make enthusiasts guess when asked about his future, he admitted his enthusiasm for being an Arsenal player.
The Gabonese star once demonstrated his importance to the team by opening the scoring with a sensational goal in the Gunners’ penalty win over Liverpool at Wembley.
Aubameyang, 31, was engaged in negotiations in the summer with only one year of his current contract.
Arsenal is in a position to offer you a three-year contract worth 250,000 euros per week in an attempt to remain in the Emirates.
He said: “We’ll see you in the next few days. We get the trophy today and that’s it.
TROPHY HUNTERS
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang lifts the trophy at Wembley.

ARSENAL GAIN !!!!!
The Gunners won the Community Shield for Liverpool’s aftermath.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the free kick.
The boss had in the past won the first match of the 1–1 draw.
Arsenal flawless on the spot and Rhian Brewster’s lack of victory.
DAN THE FAN
Dani Ceballos applauded his former company Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Twitter.
Auba gave the Gunners a 1-0 lead over Liverpool in the Community Shield with an astonishing blow, much to the delight of the Spanish midfielder.
Ceballos has returned to Real Madrid after his loan spell finished at the end of last season – but reports have linked him with a return to the Emirates.
And the 24-year-old tweeted “VAMOS” to a clip of the Gabonese forward’s wonder.
ARSENAL HALF-TIME 1-0 LIVERPOOL
The Gunners lead the Community Shield 1-0 in halftime.
Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a goal at Wembley.
The Gabonese frontman surely must be signed up by Mikel Arteta.
Liverpool scored a goal from Virgil van Dijk in chalk, but Jurgen Klopp will have more troops after the curtain breaks.

Come on, MAIT!
Newcastle are interested in signing Ainsley Maitland-Niles – but are put off by his £25million price-tag.
According to the Telegraph, Steve Bruce’s team is also Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.
Bruce justifies spending 25 million pounds to point to Maitland-Niles when his summer budget is between 30 and 35 million pounds.
The Gunners star made 20 Premier League appearances in the season.
LAUR AND ORDER
Arsenal legend Lauren will cheer up the Gunners this afternoon.
Mikel Arteta will face Liverpool, the Premier League champion, with a kick-off at 16:0.

ON YOUR TUESDAYS …
Gabriel Martinelli ‘walks again’ as he aims to regain full form for Arsenal.
The teenage prodigy was last noticed as an unused replacement in the 2–1 loss at Brighton in June, before a knee injury prematurely ended his first season with the Gunners.
Although it is about to be missing until 2021, the Brazilian is still subsidized through enthusiasts to make an impact.
And it turns out that the same 19-year-old has a transparent concept of where he’s most productive to do it: he’ll gladly sacrifice himself for the team.
GUNNER’S STAY
Arsenal’s target, Dominik Szoboszlai, has to stay at RB Leipzig because he needs to “play another season in the Champions League”.
He told the club’s official website: “I spoke to my circle of relatives and my agent.
“I need to play the Champions League season for Salzburg.”
TOO SOON
Newcastle leads the race to sign Rob Holding on loan to David Ornstein.
The two clubs are expected to reach a deal following the Community Shield crash.
Holding is expected to enroll in Steve Bruce’s team on a season loan, but is unlikely to have the option of a permanent deal.
The defender has played 39 Premier League games with the Gunners since arriving from Bolton four years ago.
I’ll do it sometime.
Mikel Arteta has been inspired by Willian’s winning mentality since arriving at Arsenal from Chelsea.
Before the clash against Liverpool, the Gunners manager said: “I am positive players and eager to win for our club.
“That’s the feeling I felt from the first day I met Willian.
“He is not satisfied with what he has done in his career, which is a lot, and will bring special qualities to our team.
