The league will announce the first part of each team’s calendar education camp in December, while the part of the moment will not be announced until later in the year.
The calendar includes an entry tournament between seed No. 7 and No. 10 to the last two playoff venues for each conference.
There was a limited game format last season in the bubble near Orlando, Florida, although groups had to be within 4 games to be eligible. The Portland Trail Blazers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in an entry game to secure the ninth seed in the West, when there was no series in the East.
This season will feature a more expansive tournament from May 18-21, including Seed No. 10 will have the opportunity to secure a place with consecutive victories.
Seed No. 7 and No. 8 at the end of the regular season will play first with a win for a playoff appearance, while the loser of this setting will face the winner of the Adjustment between the No. nine and No. 10.
This would have given the Phoenix Suns a chance in the playoffs after scoring eight league wins directly, the Dallas Mavericks deserve to have played their way despite scoring 43-32 in the regular season.
The Washington Wizards also would have had a playoff shot despite a 25-47 record in 2019-20.
The new calendar also includes a break from the All-Star Game from March 5-10 despite the absence of a genuine game, which was first reported through ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
