Oklahoma, which yielded a 21-point lead and lost a 38-35 heartbreaker to Kansas State, fell from No. 3 to No. 16, while LSU, which couldn’t stop Mike Leach State’s top-notch Mississippi (yes, you read it right), dropped 14 put to number 20.

No. 2 Alabama vs. Alabama No. thirteen Texas A

After sending seamlessly to Missouri 38-19 on Saturday, the No. 2 Alabama will take on what will be a much more difficult challenge in receiving the No. 13 Texas A

Alabama’s frontline defense was dominant in the first opposite part of Missouri, keeping the Tigers just 112 yards and a basket away. Mond and company will be more of a success than that, but they will have to do a lot more than they did against Vandy to remain competitive.

Prediction: Alabama 38, Texas A

No. Georgia vs. No. 7 Auburn

This has all the ingredients for the most productive game of the weekend, potentially so far. Auburn and Georgia fought the decline of war parts early Saturday, but took a decisive victory to stage a clash between two of the three groups seeking Alabama in the SEC this season.

While the Tigers have the quarterback position stitched in with Bo Nix (233 yards, 3 touchdowns) under center, Georgia is still in the middle of a quarterback battle. to participate in the season to prepare for the NFL draft. USC Transfer JTDaniels received an early waiver of eligibility, but is still recovering from an ACL injury suffered last season. opposite Arkansas, and Stetson Bennett, a former walker who finished it.

Mathis is a much larger double threat, however, he fought powerfully against a rather porous Arkansas defensive, making only 8 of 17 passes and throwing an interception. Bennett, who had no dreams of betting this season just a few weeks ago, finished 20 of 29 pass attempts for 211 yards and two touchdowns.

Overall, Georgia still has more skill in all areas, adding its much-acked defense, however, a smart quarterback game, or lack there, may be the decisive thing in this one.

Prediction: Auburn 31, Georgia 20
