As for the West, the Los Angeles Lakers are for Tuesday night’s Game 7 winner between the Denver Nuggets and the L. A. Clippers.

Not exactly the rivalry of the old

The Celtics and Heat last faced each other in the 2012 East Conference finals.

It’s Big 3 instead of Big 3.

Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce of Boston and LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh of Miami.

The series played all seven full games, with Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder in the final.

Fast forward 8 years and no team seems so then, but they are just as competitive.

Jimmy Butler leads an organization of intrepid brothers in Miami, while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are the stars of the Celtics.

Boston has a young core that plays very well in combination and is well trained through Brad Stevens.

To complement his star power, Kemba Walker, who has waited his career to qualify for the East Conference finals, and Marcus Smart, who has more than validated his position in this year’s fully defensive first team.

No one had any idea that the Heat would still stand, yet here’s Bam Adebayo’s versatility, Goran Dragic’s resurgence, Duncan Robinson’s sharp shot, Tyler Herro’s loot-soaked game and, of course, Butler’s skill.

Most experts overtake the Celtics in six or seven games, if Gordon Hayward returns and can play his ability.

But if you don’t, look at Miami to defy the odds.

Will there be one from Los Angeles?

LeBron’s waiting.

So now it’s Kawhi Leonard’s turn to get there. Throughout the season, there’s been an argument in Los Angeles to find out who the city is. Does it belong to the king or the Klaw?

If Leonard can’t even go beyond the Nuggets, then all the talk stops here.

But if you can succeed over the obstacle, it will be a series with the kind of bragging rights at stake that you may not forget soon.

The four-time MVP has Anthony Davis on the shotgun, while the protective MVP has Paul George at number 2.

The Lakers have the merit of size, while the Clippers have a very deep bench, starting with Lou Williams and the sixth player of the year this year, Montrezl Harrell.

But none of these issues if Leonard can’t get his team to win Game 7 on Tuesday night.

The Clippers have played in the Western Conference finals.

Then Denver, which has a chance to succeed for a consecutive moment of 3-1 deficit in those playoffs.

A Game of Lakers vs. Nuggets might not have the same point of intrigue as the Battle of Los Angeles, but it would still be exciting.

Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are the stars, and Michael Porter Jr. is the looming star.

There’s a lot to love about Denver, your walk ends here.

It’s coming up about L. A. , so get ready.
