If this is the 2022-23 Premier League table you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place.

After the 2022 World Cup break, the Premier League came back strong and the start of 2023 was a lot of fun and continued until the end of the season.

Manchester City chased Arsenal to win another Premier League title. The new Manchester United team regained a position among the four smartest, as did Newcastle. Brighton and Aston Villa marvel at qualifying for Europe, while Liverpool plunge into a festival by their recent standards.

The groups were relegated. The managers were fired. And that’s what the table looked like when all was said and done.

NBC Sports standings and scoreboard

On Wednesday, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne equalled Premier League legend Frank Lampard in the all-time assists table when his free-kick serve to John Stones gave City a 2-0 lead over Arsenal in their big game on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.

“KDB” now has 102 assists in the Premier League, and one hundred assists in the PL is a feat that can only be claimed through 4 other players and has never been done faster than De Bruyne.

The hand is De Bruyne’s 16th in this Premier League season.

De Bruyne probably wouldn’t find the 162 assists in Ryan Giggs’ career, but the other members are the top 3 in his success if he plays at least one more season with Man City.

DC United boss Wayne Rooney is as follows: he has registered 103.

Second place may take time, as Cesc Fabregas recorded 111 assists between Arsenal and Chelsea.

There are several other active Premier League players in and around the top 25 assistants of all time. See the full list after the jump.

Kevin De Bruyne’s eye-catching numbers give rise to a number of considerations, and one wonders if the Manchester City star has ever wondered if the Premier League record would be his own in a world where Jose Mourinho has found greater use for him. at Chelsea.

De Bruyne’s 16 assists this Premier League season were 4 more than his nearest rival, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, and give him 102 in his career. This is the 4th of all time, one less than Wayne Rooney and 60 (?!) Behind record holder Ryan Giggs.

The 31-year-old Belgian star joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen aged 22 and controlled just 425 minutes partly one season before being released at Wolfsburg. Back in the Bundesliga, De Bruyne provided six assists before scoring 21 goals next season to mark plans to move to Man City.

He has now won the Premier League Emerging Playmaker of the Season award 3 times, adding a 2019-20 season with 20 assists. Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard also won the award, which is five years old.

De Bruyne also led the Premier League in assists in 2016-17, the year before the league was called of honour.

Their stats suggest more to come, as “KDB” creates garish numbers. After a season in which he scored 15 times with 8 assists, De Bruyne is back to mock those who would dare to pursue him in terms of goals (A guy named Erling Haaland helps. . . ).

Harry Kane scored 30 goals a season and finished six goals behind the Golden Boot winner, while an attack-laden Premier League season saw Manchester City’s Erling Haaland rewrite the single-season goal record books.

No one has scored more in a 38-game Premier League season than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland this season when he scored 36 in his first season in the competition.

Haaland surpassed the record set by Newcastle’s Andy Cole and Blackburn’s Alan Shearer, who scored 34 goals in 42 seasons.

There is something a little annoying about knowing the identity of the winner of the Golden Boot 2022, the only interest is the final number of his final countdown, we get it, but the maximum of what Haaland did this season is simply glorious and to appreciate without much fear. .

Haaland scored 20 goals in a single season in the Premier League faster than any player in history. . . in seven games (Sunderland’s Kevin Phillips did it in 21). He has now damaged Phillips’ record for top goals in a first season in the Premier League. .

He surpassed Salah and may have reached 40 if City had focused on preparing for the big games of other competitions.

Haaland has not scored 40 goals, but the Premier League record is his and nobody will say that 40 are in the future.

Haaland nearly broke the record for goal participation (goals plus assists) in a single season, breaking the record of 42 games. Alan Shearer scored 47 of 42, while Thierry Henry holds the record of 38 games with 44.

He broke Phillips’ record for points in a first Premier League season when he scored his 31st of the season against Leicester City on April 15.

Read on to see the most recent Premier League purpose totals for the 2022-23 season as Haaland looks to claim a Golden Boot in his first PL season.
