REUTERS: Southampton signed Ghanaian central defender Mohammed Salisu of Real Valladolid of La Liga on a four-year contract, and announced the Premier League on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old played 32 games for Valladolid in all competitions last season when he finished in La Liga.

The main financial points of the move were revealed, but British media reported that Southampton had paid Valladolid 10.9 million pounds ($14.2 million) to point to the defender.
