Gareth Bale has been accused of rejecting a pay cut at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, while his Real Madrid colleagues have agreed to have their wages cut.
The winger is said to earn 500,000 euros a week while in Spain, although he has been excluded from the team during his tumultuous years at the club.
Reports this morning say he is the only player in the entire Madrid team to have refused any kind of pay cut, as the Spanish team sank into monetary chaos due to the blockade of Covid-19.
The total is believed to have agreed to a pay cut – with the exception of Bale.
