A Vietnamese chain, which promises to serve food in 3 minutes, has applied for a licence to open a restaurant in the centre of Manchester.

Vietnamese HOP has submitted an application to Manchester City Council for a licence to operate a “Vietnamese-themed food venue with takeaway service” on Market Street.

The chain has in the past described its restaurants as “unique spaces” shaped by an “explosion of color, texture and design. “

If granted, the restaurant will open from 8am to half past midnight seven days a week and will also offer ‘late night refreshment’ from 11pm to midnight both indoors and outdoors.

The Market Street restaurant will also serve boozy dinners and takeout on Mondays from 10:30 a. m. to Sundays. m. at midnight.

The restaurant claims that thanks to its “digital ordering kiosks,” consumers receive their order within 3 minutes of entering. Dishes are made to order and sold through Vietnamese street food vendors.

The fast chain offers everything from rice boxes (a combination of protein, aromatic steamed rice, shredded salad, green vegetables, and pickles) to Pho soups, Banh Mi baguettes, and meatballs.

The licence application is open for consultation until Monday 19 February and the decision on whether or not to grant the licence will be made through the Manchester City Council’s Licensing Committee.

If approved, the place to eat will be the Vietnamese branch of HOP that will open in the north after its launch in London in 2015. The first venue in the north opened at The Orient food court at the Trafford Centre in September last year.

At the opening, Paul Hopper, founder of Vietnamese HOP, said, “Being a northerner myself, I have dreamed of bringing HOP north one day. So when an opportunity presented itself at Manchester’s Trafford Centre, it was hard to say no.

Speaking at the time, Simon Layton of the Trafford Centre said: “We are very pleased to welcome HOP to the Trafford Centre, especially as this is the brand’s first outdoor opening in London. HOP will be a wonderful addition to our always-dining offering and we are sure visitors will love it. “

Menu pieces include hot Vietnamese banh-mi baguettes with roast duck, red meat, chicken, mushrooms or the vegan Meatless Farm chicken, served with herbs and pickled vegetables. The eat-out spot also specializes in food boxes, featuring caramel chicken or lemongrass, grilled. red meats, red meat satay, red meat ribeyes and vegan curries.

The Trafford Centre’s restaurant offers an expanded menu of bubble teas, soft gels, iced Vietnamese coffees and homemade lemonades, as well as a children’s menu.
