Aberdeen centre-back Slobodan Rubezic is said to have inspired the Tottenham Hotspurs senior scout on a recent four-day holiday in Scotland.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou, a former Celtic manager, sent Ian Broomfield north of the border to manage a number of conceivable move targets.

Postecoglou has been linked with a resolution through his former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi.

But, according to a report by The Sun, Aberdeen defender Rubezic also got a glowing report from the Spurs scout during his holiday in Scotland, where he attended matches for Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and Rangers.

Rubezic joined the Dons from Serbian club Novi Pazar in July on a three-and-a-quarter contract.

In October, he called up the Montenegro national team for the first time.

The 23-year-old helped the Dons triumph in the Viaplay Cup final on Saturday night, helping Aberdeen hold a blank in a 1-0 win over Hibernian.
