A guy from Aberdeen who forgot to light the headlights was imprisoned after police discovered a lot of drugs in his car.
Ryan Michael Ogg, who also bears the surnames McKeown and Steele, was arrested through officials while witnessing another incident.
During the search, they discovered a plastic bag containing thousands of pounds of heroin and cocaine and a cash giant.
The Aberdeen Sheriff’s Court heard the 27-year-old man, who was on bail, and a woman arrested by police in Balnagask Circle, the city, on January 5, 2020.
Tax MEP Alison Reid said: “Police officers who were near the site in connection with some other case were informed that a vehicle was driving without lighting and entering a nearby car park.
“They approached the vehicle and the defendant turned out to be the driver. Police saw a plastic bag containing several small packages, suspecting they contained drugs.
“As a result, the defendant was warned and subjected to a drug search. “
Ogg’s wallet contained 820 euros in money and a forensic examination of 32 packages contained heroin with a retail price of 1,280 euros and 27 envelopes of cocaine of 1,790 euros, the court heard.
They arrested and took them to Kittybrewster police station, where he accused the defendants. He admitted the crime when he gave the impression in court this week.
Ogg’s attorney, Michael Burnett, said his client, from Pentland Place in Aberdeen, lived a “chaotic” life that had “escalated for some time. “
Sheriff Graeme Napier said Ogg violated a series of arrest and bail orders and sentenced him to two years in prison for being involved in the Class A drug source. His sentence dates back to November 2020.
