At the time of his death, Lincoln’s only major monetary asset was his home in Springfield, at the intersection of 8th and Jackson streets. Over the decades, space has played a key role in sharing Lincoln’s reminiscence with the public.
Similarly, other people who include ALPLM in their wills and estate plans can preserve Lincoln’s memory for generations to come.
“The others who carry on Lincoln’s legacy after he is gone are helping to build a better world. They are teaching children, safeguarding ancient documents and telling the story of an inspiring leader,” said Christina Shutt, executive director of the Presidential Center for Abraham Lincoln.
