Zlatan Ibrahimovic said Milan “stopped playing,” as the star striker lamented the Rossoneri’s collapse after dropping a two-goal lead over rival Inter in an exciting Derby della Madonnina.
Milan’s 2-0 break advantage faded in minutes through the Serie A name which he hopes Inter, who overthrew the pass with four unanswered goals to win sensationally 4-2 at San Siro on Sunday.
Ibrahimovic provided a hand for Ante Rebic’s first game in the 40th minute before facing the oldest Serie A striker in Milan derby history in the first half.
Milan, however, can stay opposed to Inter, which made an astonishing comeback to beat the protective champions, the Juve, in the most sensible table.
“It’s hard what happened,” Ibrahimovic, 38, told Sky Sport Italia after scoring his third goal since returning to Milan in January.
“At halftime we think the first 15 minutes of the return will be crucial, and in that 15-minute era we conceded two goals.
“We stopped playing, the team stopped believing, we stopped supporting, we didn’t have enough. From the moment of equalization, everything fell apart. “
“I think it’s based on a giant component in the experience, because you have to know how to make a game in 2-0, not just win in the end.
“It’s strange, because our first part almost perfect. I expected more from Inter and the functionality of the first part did not seem like a team worthy of a place at the moment. They did it after the break. “
Inter is a striker for Juve for difference of purpose after 23 games, while Milan are 10th and 10th in the Champions League.
