AC Milan are loan moves for Chelsea’s João Felix and Manchester United duo Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund after conceding defeat in their pursuit of Marcus Rashford, ESPN’s ESPN has been told via ESPN.

Feyenoord and Mexico striker Santiago Gimenez are Milan’s target in Milan for a permanent move if England defender Fikayo Tomori leaves the Italian club for this month due to a non-EU player location.

Milan had set up a United and England striker Rashford on a deadline to dedicate a loan to the San Siro after talks with the players’ camp and United.

However, appeals have told ESPN that Milan are now content that the 27-year-old is waiting for other features after making it transparent that favours a move to Barcelona if the La Liga look can create area on its pool table through the offloading of fringe players.

With Rashford denying the option of moving to the club, Milan are now in a position to strike a deal for Manchester City defender Kyle Walker to fill their only slot for a non-EU player.

But after missing Rashford, Milan continue to be in the market for a striker and resources have said the club are exploring signing one from Joao Felix, Zirkzee or Heliond.

Portugal striker João Felix sealed a £46. 3m ($53. 2m) move to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid last August, however, the 25-year-old has made just 19 appearances for Chelsea this season and finished 90 minutes in the Premier League on a single occasion.

Sources have said the former Benfica and Barcelona striker is Milan’s choice after failing to signal Rashford, however, there is also interest in Zirkzee and Vinojlund due to United’s willingness to make deals this month in a bid to boost coach Ruben’s Amorim squad.

Zirkzee and Højlund moved to United after impressing in Serie A with Bologna and Atalanta respectively, however, either striker has struggled to score in the Premier League.

Sources have said United would have to signal the striker before allowing Zirkzee or Hoojlund to go on loan, but with Juventus also interested in the pairing, the possibility of one of the young strikers leaving Old Trafford this month is realistic, even if Rashford breaks down to a new club.
