At defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, the Jets trust.
That was head coach Adam Gase’s message at a video convention Wednesday when the theme of the team’s defensive defeats was discussed. The deep Jamal Adams was changed to the Seahawks and supporter C.J. Mosley decided not to play this season, so the Jets have some gaps to fill.
Gase said he was confident that Williams’ ability to adapt to any scenario will serve the team well.
“When you start like this, Gregg will adjust the things he had planned in the spring, adjusted so far or we’re going to make some other adjustments now,” Gase said, through the team’s website. “That’s the kind of thing we do as coaches. We have to do a very smart task using the staff in a position to leave every week. That’s where Gregg has done a wonderful job of being able to use his boys in his talents and make the most of them.
Bradley McDougald arrived at the Jets in the Adams industry and is expected to get it up and running with Marcus Maye safely. Avery Williamson, Neville Hewitt, James Burgess, Blake Cashman and Patrick Onwuasor are the applicants to be chosen as supporters with Mosley offstage.
Did his eyes come out of his head when he did that?
For once, Gase and I agree on something, Gregg Williams is the problem.
Spoken like a true leader
I mean, he’s going to try to balance the game box by paying bonuses to hurt players from rival teams, so I guess Gase’s right.
No pressure, Coach Williams …
