Adam Idah lent a hand on his Celtic debut as Brendan Rodgers’ side lost ground to Aberdeen.
Less than two days after signing for the Hoops, Idah came off the bench to help compatriot Nicolas-Gerrit Kühn when his deflected shot levelled Pittodrie.
Bojan Miovski gave the Dons the lead five minutes into the second half, and Celtic’s reaction came just over ten minutes later.
Norwich legend for Celtic enthusiasts: Adam Idah will score for you
“Two things were missed,” Rodgers said after the game.
“We had chances in the first half and smart chances, maybe we saw that Aberdeen were a bit nervous in the game and we had to check that out and exploit that.
“I thought second we were loose with our passing and obviously the big thing in this type of game is win your first, second, third balls when and be able to counter press really well in order to stop them breaking out.”
Rodgers added: “The reaction from the players (after the first game) was good, we put everything into the game.
“It looked like we were going to score the goal and it was smart for Nic to score his first goal. And after that, it’s just a matter of keeping knocking on the door. Overall, it’s disappointing to lose two points.
