The City Council of Porto Torres returns this year to the cultural event “Open Monuments”, a club that is accompanied by the proposal addressed to associations to adopt a monument.
Those interested in adopting the sites can write to the e-mail address of the Institution’s Department of Culture. Thus, volunteers and local associations are summoned to the municipal management and academics – concerned with controlling the flow of visitors and providing logistics – contributing to the good fortune of an occasion that allows the town to make known its artistic, ancient and architectural wealth.
The Open Monuments will take place in Porto Torres on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 and, as in previous editions, the management asks entities, schools and fans to “adopt” the places that will be the protagonists of the Turritan level of the occasion. It also invites associations wishing to organize special and side events on the sidelines of the occasion to submit their proposal according to the same procedure.
