With his commitment to Red Bull Formula 1 coming to an end, Adrian Newey has one last mission with the Milton Keynes-based RB17 team, which has shown up for a great debut.
On the eve of the Miami Grand Prix, the surprise announcement caused Newey to end Red Bull’s efforts in Formula 1 and that he would leave for good after the first quarter of 2025. But before that, he still has interesting business to do in the form of Red Bull’s RB17 hypercar.
Announced in 2022, the RB17 will be a track-specific hypercar that utilises Newey’s world-renowned wisdom in ground-effect aerodynamics, designed in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
Production will begin in 2025, but we possibly don’t want to wait until then to see the RB17 as it has been shown to appear at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed as a finished product.
The opening will take place on July 12, after which it will be static in the Cathedral Paddock for the rest of the weekend.

Red Bull’s presence at Goodwood will go far beyond the unveiling of the RB17, as the team will celebrate its 20th anniversary in Formula 1 with a diversity of cars and drivers that will feature in its successful tenure so far, with seven drivers and six manufacturers. . titles won.
Team principal Christian Horner and 13-time winner David Coulthard, who scored Red Bull’s first F1 podium, will be among the participants.
“We are delighted to offer the RB17 to the public for the first time and couldn’t believe a higher global level than the Goodwood Festival of Speed,” said Horner.
“The RB17 oozes rarity and engineering excellence. We’ve used everything we know about motorsport to create the car with maximum functionality and we can’t wait for the public to see the result. “
“I’m also equally excited to bring such a remarkable line-up of cars and drivers to this iconic festival and look forward to celebrating our 20th season in front of passionate motorsport fans. “
Red Bull looks set to add two more titles to its collection in F1 2024, with Max Verstappen leading the drivers’ championship as he bids for a fourth consecutive crown, while Red Bull leads the constructors’ championship.
However, McLaren threatens to complicate what looked like a path for Red Bull, after Lando Norris drove the MCL38 to victory in Miami.
