The Baltimore Ravens play a season-consistent game at Paycor Stadium, home of AFC North rivals Cincinnati. And next season, when they arrive, the surface will be different.
“Hamilton County and the Bengals are committed to providing a top-notch playing surface for NFL games, and this milestone confirms that commitment,” Paycor Stadium general manager Steve Johnson said in a statement released by the team. “The box will be installed on time throughout the 2024 NFL season. “
When the stadium opened in 2000, the playing surface was natural grass, but from 2004 to 2011 it was replaced by the previous popular edition of FieldTurf.
Then, in 2012, the team installed Act Global artificial turf until 2018, when it replaced Shaw Sports Momentum Pro artificial turf.
And now, next year, they’ll adopt the new form of FieldTurf.
With this announcement, the remaining three teams with split-movie turf (Cincinnati, Minnesota, and Indy) will have FieldTurf in 2024. Split-film turf is expected to be the most dangerous for players.
These 3 groups will now be enrolled in the Falcons, Panthers, Lions, Patriots, Seahawks, and Giants/Jets, who also used FieldTurf.
