AFC Wimbledon returns to Plough Lane after 29-year absence, reviving Crazy Gang

It’s a shame that AFC Wimbledon enthusiasts are at their new stadium on Plough Lane on Tuesday night to witness an emotional return to their non-secular home after a 29-year absence.

But major Dons enthusiasts might point out that there wasn’t much to see in The Days of the Southern League before Crazy Gang’s incredible story took over and the club went from winning the non-league to the Premier League and FA Cup.

These memories and many more will return when the AFC takes the box opposite Doncaster in League One, after 3 decades of sharing a flat at Crystal Palace or betting outdoors in its own hometown of Kingstonian.

Fans were hoping that the team would return to Plough Lane, their non-secular home.
