Matt Shufflebottom, a partner at Knight Frank, said: “The ground floor and first floor hotels are the best solution for the consulate and we are pleased to have them as occupants of the building.
“A mix of perseverance, visitor engagement and the ability to provide tailored accommodation to tenants contributed to the agreement.
“Our assignment and our team are working heavily with the incoming landlord and tenant on the detail and execution of progression and renewal, which is expected to be completed very soon.
“We are delighted to announce the recent agreement that secured Duff’s long term
Knight Frank’s construction consulting partner Nick Platt said: “Our consulting service has ensured the smooth transition of progression for the owner and consulate in a short period of time and to express standards.

Steve Pope, Director of Topland’s Asset and Asset Management Group, said: “We are excited to announce those two exciting transactions that were completed before the COVID-19 outbreak but achieved closure.
“We have worked intensively with these two key occupants to identify these new amenities and look forward to running with any of them in the long run at the Chancellery.
“The Kingdom of Spain’s resolve to open the new consulate at the Chancellery is a primary achievement, only for our main building, but also for the city of Manchester.
“Having made those rents our first year of property is very good and we are looking ahead to locate some other prestigious rent on the remaining floor.
