Nick Saban’s COVID-19 check on negative Friday, a user with direct knowledge of the stage told The Tuscaloosa News.
The user requested the anonymity of the sensitivity of the situation.
The Alabama football coach is a negative result before he is allowed to coach Saturday night against Georgia.
Saban already won his Saturday check, the user said. If this check turns out negative, it will transparent sec protocol and possibly Coach Alabama will oppose the Bulldogs at 8 p. m. Est.
Tom Rinaldi of ESPN first reported Saturday morning that Saban had won a negative result for coronavrius.
The SEC protocol requires 3 negative controls of an asymptomatic individual, all separated for at least 24 hours, to transparent the protocol and return to game activity. Saban’s positive control took place on Wednesday, giving him the window for negative control Thursday, Friday and Saturday to recoil the coach opposing Georgia in time.
