Juventus coach Max Allegri spoke to the striker about Sunday’s Serie A match against Atalanta.
Both clubs have experienced negative results, with the Bianconeri suffering a defeat to Napoli last weekend.
The Old Lady’s only positive result in the last six rounds was a hard-fought win over Frosinone.
While Allegri admits that today’s game is important, he insists that it will be decisive for the club’s campaign.
The Livorno local proclaimed that he was not worried about the existing race, but he was disappointed.
“Tomorrow may not be a decisive game, but it’s still important,” the 56-year-old said in his pre-match press conference via the club’s official website.
“Now the issues are starting to weigh a little more and because Atalanta are also in the fight for a place in the top four.
“We want to interpret the phases of the game correctly and our defence, because we’ve conceded too many goals lately. “
Allegri also revealed that Weston McKennie would be in the lineup after recovering from a shoulder injury.
Moise Kean is also available, but Adrien Rabiot will want a few more days out.
“[Weston] McKennie is available and he’s fine, tomorrow he’ll play from the start. [Moses] Kean has recovered even though he still doesn’t have 90 minutes to play.
“[Adrien] Rabiot deserves to be back this week. We’re disappointed with [Carlos] Alcaraz’s injury, but we have the right team to swoon on the pitch and get a result.
Finally, the Juventus coach insisted that teenagers tend to enjoy ups and downs, so he is not worried about Kenan Yildiz’s recent dip in form.
“It’s normal for our young players to go through ups and downs, it’s part of their growth, there’s nothing to worry about. [Kenan] Yildiz has been training well in recent weeks.
