Amazon is opening two new distributions in Ajax and Hamilton, which will create 2,500 jobs.
Hamilton is expected to employ approximately 1,500 workers, while Ajax will employ approximately 1,000 full-time workers, and both are expected to open in 2021.
“We’ve had great luck with Ontario’s talented workforce, and we looked forward to creating another 2,500 full-time jobs with competitive wages and benefits from day one,” said Sumegha Kumar, Amazon Canada’s director of customer management operations.
With the new centers, the company now has 10 in Ontario and 16 in Canada.
