Ethan Ampadu will spend the next season on loan at Chelsea’s Sheffield United after the Blades finished a busy day of deal.
Wales Ampadu, who can play in defence or in the middle of the field, joins the 2020-21 crusade at Bramall Lane after returning from a season at RB Leipzig.
It is the third signing of the day for United, which hit Derby County zagueros Jayden Bogle and Max Lowe a double blow last Monday.
“Ethan is a remarkable young player for Chelsea, and we have worked very hard to get his signing for the season,” technician Chris Wilder told United’s website.
“We have to thank Frank Lampard and the rest of the chelsea people for helping us make this happen. We have a smart date with them and they know we’ll take care of him smart.
“This is a vital season for Ethan and betting on the Premier League for us is a smart resolution for everyone. He brings many qualities to the band and is someone we’ve been following for two or three seasons. “

Ampadu made his debut for Exeter City at the age of 15 in an EFL Cup draw against Brentford in August 2016 and moved to Stamford Bridge a year later.
Selected thirteen times through Wales, Ampadu played three Bundesliga matches for champions league semi-finalists Leipzig last season.
