ANDRE Onana missed it when a failed clearance by Harry Maguire nearly charged Manchester United’s goal in Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund.
The £47 million goalkeeper yelled at the midfielder shortly after arriving on the pitch in the second half.
Individual errors charged Erik ten Hag’s men twice in the first forty-five minutes, leading to two quick goals from Donyell Malen that gave Dortmund a 2-1 lead at half-time.
First, Brandon Williams’ challenge allowed Karim Adeyemi to smoothly pass to the English full-back and then contribute to Malen’s equaliser.
Soon after, Victor Lindelof gave the ball just outside the box and the former Arsenal star beat Tom Heaton, scoring two goals in two minutes.
Onana watched the mistakes from the bench before replacing Heaton at half-time.
And he seemed to have little patience for mistakes when he came in, which was seen when an ill-conceived pass from Maguire allowed Dortmund to take the ball away from Christian Eriksen and launch a counter-attack.
Julian Brandt found Sebastien Haller in the area before Onana stopped the German striker’s shot with a very good save.
The ball landed in Adeyemi’s legs, but the 21-year-old winger shot deflected.
However, Onana was not relieved and approached Maguire without delay, shouting and gesticulating angrily to reprimand the Englishman for his risky play.
And United fans took note of the interaction on social media.
One wrote, “Onana has just arrived and can no longer take Harry Maguire with him. “
Another tweeted: “Onana yelling at Harry Maguire. . . I’m not even going to lie, it’s epic!”
A third added, “Onana is satisfied with Maguire there. “
And one said, “The way Onana attacked Maguire is so funny. Even Maguire was shocked. “
Antony kept Man Utd’s hopes of coming back alive, locating the ball with a brazen shot in the 52nd minute.
But United pulled back about 20 minutes later, when Dortmund intercepted a poor pass from Aaron Wan-Bissaka before Youssoufa Moukoko adjusted the score.
