Andre Onana made his highly anticipated debut for Manchester United in Wednesday night’s pre-season friendly with Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Inter Milan for £47. 2m last week, pen on paper on a five-year deal with the Red Devils.
Onana worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax and came to the Theatre of Dreams replacing David de Gea.
Despite winning the Premier League Golden Glove last season, De Gea has played for United on several occasions.
In addition to the Spaniard’s individual mistakes in key matches, Ten Hag looked to update De Gea because he felt Man Utd needed an elite goalkeeper who was much more comfortable with the ball at his feet and played better in defence.

The former Cameroon foreigner already turned heads in education and at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium this weekend to see his new teammates record a 2-0 win over Arsenal.

But it was Onana who started and finished Wednesday’s friendly against mighty Real Madrid.

Well, it’s fair to say that Onana didn’t exactly start the dream.
