On behalf of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, and on my behalf, I want to express my deepest condolences to the circle of family and friends of Angelo Martins, one of our eternal champions of Europe on two occasions and one of the symbols that will remain in the history of our club.
Angelo Martins, a player who, between 1952 and 1965, won two European Cups, seven national championships and five Portuguese Cups at Benfica, belonged to this golden generation.
It is with deep remorse that the entire circle of Benfiquista relatives lives this moment of pain, mourning and eternal preference before the departure of Angelo Martins. Believable in our best affectionate homage, you may rest in peace!
