Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger believes Olivier Giroud may be the key to beating Manchester United this weekend.

United will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday night, as either looks to finish their season with a silver medal to show their efforts.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is on an unbearable 19-game streak and enters the fit bolstered by the wisdom that they have already beaten Chelsea three times this season.

However, Rudiger is convinced that his Chelsea teammates have what it takes to beat United at Wembley this weekend and believes French striker Giroud may have a central role to play.

“I’m on the hunt for the party,” Rudiger told the official website of the German federation. “Man Utd is in a wonderful way, I mean, he hasn’t lost in 18 or 19 games.

“They’ve also beaten us twice in the league, so they’re going to come in with a lot of confidence.

“It’s going to be a tough fight, but what happens to us is that Olivier Giroud shoots again. He fought for a while and some had already ruled it out.”

Giroud has scored four times in seven games since the Premier League restarted last month, not yet scored in the FA Cup this season.
