Antony has had a rocky start to his life at Manchester United, with everyone wondering his enormous value, with goals and assists being a rare feature of the Brazilian’s game.
However, last weekend Antony won the favour of the fans after a last-minute equaliser in the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool, which we then won 4-3 in extra time.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Antony revealed that he had a good feeling ahead of last Sunday’s game and grateful for the support of his best friend, Diogo Dalot.
Before the game I told Diogo that I felt something different, that I felt something good. I felt like I was going to score today, so I’m very pleased with that.
As for Dalot, as I said, he’s my most productive friend here at the club. He’s a guy you communicate with, he advises me and his mentality is not of this world.
I am very grateful to God and to a friend with whom I communicate a lot. Diogo Dalot is more than a friend to me, he is a person who helps me every day at the club. We have a word that we say to you. Ourselves: the patient boy is unbeatable. We communicate about it. So I’m very grateful to him for his advice, for the time we spent communicating together. He’s a guy who helped me a lot.
