Midfielder Allan has the skills, intelligence and body to thrive in Premier League football, and he can be counted on to “fight for everton. “
This is the opinion of Andrea Stramaccioni, who was the head of Udinese a fundamental season in Allan’s career and insists that any coach would need the Brazilian to be part of his team.
Italian Stramaccioni led Udinese in 2014/15 when Allan combined his remarkable victory with the ball (he made 124 tackles, that of all players from the five classic European leagues) with renewed offensive enthusiasm.
Allan, who moved to Everton from Naples before this season, left Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro for Udinese in 2012.
He joined the Serie A squad two years later through Stramaccioni, who was in the past at the pace of Inter Milan.
“Allan inspired me by his diligent attitude, ” said Stramaccioni to evertonfc. com.
“He drove 110% in each and every workout.
“Sometimes too much and calmed him down a little bit to manage his power during the week.
“His character was positive, regardless of the circumstances, he has not changed.
“He has grown a lot this season [2014/15], betting since his past seasons in Italy.
“I moved him 15 to 20 yards on the field, turning his mindset into getting the ball back on top and joining our counterattack to make sure it’s more effective with problems and assists.
“He made a great improvement. He played as the eighth frame-by-frame midfielder, adding offense to the team, without wasting his most productive capacity: recovering balls.
“Everyone started talking about him after the win over Inter Milan (2-1 home in December 2014) and the house tie with Juventus champion (0-0 in February 2015), when he was the guy of the match with very good functionality opposite Paul Pogba and Andrea Pirlo. »
Allan is 23 years old and, despite his role in Brazil’s good fortune at the 2011 U-20 World Cup, he expects his first popularity abroad when Stramaccioni replaced Francesco Guidolin in Udinese.
Stramaccioni, who met Allan as an opponent in control of Inter in 2012/13, inherited a very simple Udinese to delight and led through the striker and totem of the club Antonio Di Natale.
Allan is part of an organization of emerging stars, also along with current Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Alex Meret, the full goalkeeper now with Naples and crowned by Italy last year.
“Allan young but intelligent,” Stramaccioni says.
“I was motivated and at the service of the team. He learned a lot from experienced players.
“I used to communicate especially with the younger ones, Allan, Bruno Fernandes and Meret, because Serie A is very tough and they needed it.
“Many times we have shared our tactical plan for midfield with Allan and he has been very wise and quick in understanding the strategy he sought to define.
“When we met Udinese in my first season with Inter Milan, he played as an anchor against the defender, balancing the entire team.
“He’s young and full of energy. Stealing bullets is his most productive skill at the time
“I strongly asked our number 10 to leave the central component where Allan was patrolling.
“It’s positive, hard-working, serious but smiling.
“Success has replaced his behavior.
“His circle of relatives and mentality give him the strength to be who he is.
“Every coach would be satisfied with a player like him.
“And I, in fashionable football, there are fewer and fewer players like that. “
Stramaccioini still supports an explanation of why beyond his close relationship with the player, for example, Allan, thrive in Goodison Park.
Growing up, his favorite team outside Italy – was born in Rome and supports AS Roma – Everton and Stramaccioni retained their affection for the club.
“The first season I completely followed Everton with Neville Southall, Andrei Kanchelskis, Anders Limpar, Paul Rideout and company,” he says.
And for Allan, who will turn 30 in January, Stramaccioni believes his Englishman has a footballer designed for the Premier League fight.
“He is a very sensible player, he never gives up and fights to the end,” says Stramaccioni, who runs Greek Panathinaikos, Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic and Iranian Esteghlal since leaving Udinese.
“His most productive skills are stealing the ball and winning tackles.
“But he took a big step forward supporting the attack and ending.
“I took him a lot inside and mentally about it.
“I had to be more effective in the offensive for its quality.
“He stepped forward game by game and reached a very high level.
“At the end of the season, he attracted donations from Italian and foreign clubs. “
Allan moved properly to Napoli, where he spent five years before meeting Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti, who controlled the player for a season and a part at Stadio San Paolo.
The South American, lately with his selection for two world cup qualifiers, has finished seven of Everton’s eight Premier League games this season.
He scored more tackles (32) than any other player in the department and after Everton’s first-day win at Tottenham Hotspur described through center defenceman Michael Keane as a ‘defense dream’.
“The Premier League is a challenge for any player and especially foreigners,” Stramaccioni added.
“Everton is a historic club and Carlo is a teacher.
“I am very pleased that Allan had such a positive start and impact, because it was nothing simple.
“Everton enthusiasts will see a player fight for his shirt and give 110% for them, and I’m sure that’s what Toffee enthusiasts are looking for from their players.
“I want Allan, Carlo and Everton to also have the most productive success imaginable, because they deserve it.
