The new Associated Press school football ballot obviously believes the SEC is the convention in the country.
He just doesn’t have the equipment.
This difference remains in the hands of Clemson, who won 60 of the 62 imaginable first-place votes to retain his position at No. 1, Alabama moves to No. 2 in the absent state position of Ohio, while AP has disposed of all schools that have postponed its fall football schedule. Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida are in the top five.
Here’s how the survey came out:
1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Georgia

The adjustments to the ballot were largely procedural, with most of the country not yet starting its 2020 list and the only disappointed primary was the 31-13 defeat of the state of Iowa to Louisiana-Lafayette.
The Big Ten and Pac-12, among other conferences, opted to postpone their seasons and left gaps to complete the Top 25. The Big Ten would have a season start date in October after advances in testing. Possible, we are looking at a new logo ballot at this time next week.
Clemson, one of football’s most productive school teams with a 37-13 win over Wake Forest. Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Texas had double-digit victories.
There were 10 new Top 25 innings in the overall standings, and Iowa State was the only team ranked in the preseason to fall.
