Arizona football coach odds: Joe Salave’a and Bryan Harsin, favorites to replace Kevin Sumlin

Now there’s a chance he’ll be the next football coach at the University of Arizona.

BetOnline. ag has published his list of odds to replace Kevin Sumlin in and includes family names for Arizona football fans, adding some former Wildcats players.

Favourites to get the job, on site?

Joe Salave’a, Oregon co-coordinator and former Arizona assistant and player, is 4/1.

He followed Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin in 6/1.

San Jose state coach Brent Brennan, a former Arizona graduate assistant, is third at 15/2, tied with Marine coach Ken Niumatalolo, who tied for the task before Sumlin was hired.

Buffalo coach Lance Leipold completes the top five with 9/1.

The odds come with several other people with ties to Arizona, adding former player Chuck Cecil (12/1) and current interim coach Paul Rhoads (12/1), as well as former player Tedy Bruschi (33/1).

An “Anthony Pierce” is indexed as 14/1. It probably refers to former Arizona player Antonio Pierce, who lately is the defensive co-coordinator of the ASU.

Sumlin fired on Saturday, the day after Arizona State beat the Wildcats 70-7 in Tucson.

Arizona finished the season 0-5 after its last game against Cal, scheduled for this week, canceled on Sunday.

Wildcats have 12 consecutive games.
