Feyenoord manager Arne Slot has Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager.
It comes after the clubs reached a pre-agreement on reimbursement for Slot to move to Merseyside from the Netherlands.
The Dutch manager has two years left on his contract and Liverpool reportedly agreed to pay Feyenoord £7. 7 million (€9 million), plus £1. 7 million (€2 million) in add-ons, to Sky Sports News.
The 45-year-old on Liverpool’s shortlist to update the Liverpool manager early on, and ruled it when they finished due diligence on all key criteria.
Dutch newspaper AD reported that Feyenoord and Liverpool have had positive talks and that only the final main points want to be for Slot to join the Premier League club.
Slot, who led the Rotterdam club to their second Century League title last year, said: “It’s clear that I would like to move to Liverpool.
On Thursday, he said he was confident a deal would be reached.
“Everyone understands that Feyenoord will need to get as much money as possible, but I have a feeling they probably won’t blame me,” he said.
“I hope things will become clearer in the next few days. “

Klopp will step down at the end of the season after years in charge of Liverpool.
The German coach went on to be one of the most influential head coaches in the club’s history and brought him to the usual candidates.
After Klopp’s initial announcement of his departure, former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso was touted as the most productive candidate for the job.
However, the Bayer Leverkusen coach excluded himself from the festival by opting for the Bundesliga club.
Klopp, who has been involved in the recruitment process, has praised his obvious successor, Slot.
“I like the way your team plays football,” he said.
“Everything I hear about him (some other people I know know him, I don’t know him yet), but other people tell me he’s a smart guy, and I really like that.
“So, smart coach, smart kid, I’m ahead at the Club. If he’s the solution, or the man, then I’m more than happy.
“It’s not for me to judge those things, but it all seems smart to me.
“It’s the most productive task in the world, the most productive club in the world. Obviously, now I’m helping even if I don’t complete it well, it turns out there’s room for improvement. “
