Heung-min scored in the first half, but Arsenal responded twice before the break and chances were wasted between the two in a physical and physical half.

A goal from the Spurs combined with a goal from Leandro Trossard to give Arsenal the victory, and their 43 problems put them on the table. The Gunners are 4 problems for Liverpool, who have an adjustment in hand.

Tottenham’s 11 defeats this season are the lowest for this level in their history, as their 24 defeats put them in 13th place in the table.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou didn’t like his team’s first half but he also can’t just repeat what anyone with eyes can see — his side are so hurt at the back and had to buy a young goalkeeper early in the window out of desperation (even though Antonin Kinsky has shown promise, throwing a 21-year-old into a North London derby two weeks after his arrival is not ideal). Arsenal being Bukayo Saka-free meant there was hope of holding down the fort but the Gunners pushed through and — let’s face it — would’ve been expected to win by two or three if measured just on talent without the added heat of a derby. It’s not a great time to be a Spurs fan, but they’re a few clean bills of health away from being favored in most games.

So many opportunities for Arsenal, but Martinelli, Odegaard and others are taking too long to shoot at goal within the area.
Huge roars for 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly from the home fans here after some wonderful, determined defending. The 18-year-old is showing so much maturity, strength and his positioning has been really good at left back. Tottenham trying to target him but they can’t get past him.
A nice ripple of applause here for Sterling, who has worked hard but the ball just wouldn’t drop for him in the box. A great effort from Sterling who hasn’t played much this season. Martinelli feels like the closer Arsenal need in this situation. Big cheer from the home fans when the Brazilian came on.
Arsenal scores his third very important goal. Hvertz goes directly to Kinsky. Then he and Sterling cannot make the maximum arsenal win the ball on the edge of the Spurs box. Will Arsenal regulate those lost opportunities? Local enthusiasts in front of me are not happy with those few game tickets.
The fans of the house kick each and every one of the balls with their players and create a lot of noise. Exactly what Arteta asked. But there is also a safe nervousness. Arsenal dominates, but it is only 2-1. The Tottenham will create at least important occasions taking into account its arrogant adjustments in the break. Arsenal will have to score this third goal.
Another brilliant arsenal corner while Odegaard throws him to the first stick and Havertz directs it little. This game has opened. The Spurs went there and Arsenal will have many opportunities on the clock.
Double substitution for Spurs at half-time. Maddison and Johnson in place of Sarr and Bissouma. The Spurs made the overall attack. Bergvall, the midfielder with Kulusevski by his side. He is an angel.
What a first half! Spurs went ahead against the run of play but Arsenal roared back with Gabriel’s header deflected in, then Trossard’s low strike putting them ahead. Incredible drama.
They shot him down! Trossard’s low shot went into the back corner. This position has gone crazy. Kinsky will probably do better with this. The noise in this position!
Another goal on a set kick. But will the corner be one?No, the ball hit Trossard one last time before leaving. The corner goes to the far post and Gabriel’s head touches Solanke and returns. What a noise when entering!
No one can say that Tottenham are ahead! Arsenal were so dominant at first, but they didn’t try their luck and Spurs made them pay. Tottenham grew confident shortly after this son’s goal. Talk about your captain in the big moment. It is only the third goal in his last 12 Premier League games.
Oh, go. You will arrive! A corner is cleared to the edge of the surface and the heung-min volley becomes the lower corner. After all this initial arsenal tension, Tottenham takes the lead.
Djed Spence first flew along the left wing and focused on Solanke, but Gabriel made a very good band of last moment to advance it in a corner. Then, Raya made a brilliant stop to deny Kulusevski when the corner arrived at him in the fence. Tottenham was completely dominated but almost scored twice.
Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky at first looked pretty good, but Havertz catches the ball and almost catches it. But the Spurs goalkeeper wins the ball back. Terrifying moment for Tottenham. Here everything is in one direction. House enthusiasts love and cheer on their team. There is not much noise from outside yet.
A brilliant start from Arsenal and they are on their way as the ball is squared to be sterling, but Gray has just reached the ball with Kinsky from his goal. A few moments later, Odegaard establishes a possibility with a great film. . They beat loose kicks and corners galore. Odegaard dictates the tempo. The spurs cannot come out of their half.
Bukayo Saka is on the crutches pitch looking at his Arsenal teammates. He also looks very closely at the 4’s and the Spurs. Such misfortune Saka loses such a massive game due to injury.
The environment is very well built here in the Emirates. Music plays from the speakers, teams of players exercise in the box and a layer of fog descends on the most sensitive stands. This is all very dramatic. And the game hasn’t done it yet!
It’s a beautiful winter’s night here in North London. You don’t even want to cover your jacket! But it will be sunny and warm on the pitch as Arsenal and Tottenham face each other on a fundamental level for both. Can Arsenal regain their name and close the hole for Liverpool?Did Spurs pull off a massive win as their injured team continues to improve?
The team news is intriguing with teenager Lewis-Skelly starting at left back for Arsenal, while Raheem Sterling comes in on the right wing and Gabriel Martinelli is on the bench. Tottenham have gone with their usual back four right now of Porro, Dragusin, Gray and Spence, while Bergvall starts in a central attacking role with Kulusevski and Son either side of him supporting Solanke.

The ACL injury Gabriel Jesus suffered against Man United in the FA Cup is set to keep him out for some time as Arsenal are down to one striker in Kai Havertz. Arteta has to find the right balance in attack with Martinelli and Trossard struggling for form out wide and Sterling just coming back from injury. Don’t be surprised if Arteta tries to plays either Jorginho or Declan Rice in a more advanced role to try and get them going in attack and the entire team further up the pitch.
Out: Gabriel Jesus (ACL rupture), Bukayo Saka (biceps femoris – plus), Ethan Nwaneri (muscle – plus), Ben White (knee), Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) | Highlight: Riccardo Calafiori (knee)
Ange PostoCcoou’s side endured a difficult exit at Tamworth from the fifth tier in the FA Cup on Sunday, but only when they needed extra time. Kulusevski, Son and Solanke all started on the bench for this match and will start for Arsenal. Archie Gray and Radu Dragusin have stepped up as a pair and separately as centre-backs, while new goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky looks like a false buy and has adapted very quickly.
OUT: Timo Werner (hamstring), Rodrigo Bentancur (concussion – MORE), Destiny Udogie (thigh), Micky van de Ven (hamstring), Cristian Romero (quad), Guglielmo Vicario (fractured ankle – MORE), Wilson Odobert (thigh), Ben Davies (thigh) | QUESTIONABLE: Fraser Forster (illness)
This game so often ends in a draw and that’s a good bet here. Arsenal will have to come out and attack and that will leave gaps for Spurs on the break. Given that Spurs have a more positive feel about them right now, go for a draw. Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham.
Mikel Arteta and Arsenal have struggled with injuries and form as they lost at home to Newcastle and Manchester United in the League Cup and FA Cup 3rd Round semi-final throughout the week. This new defeat came here on penalties after Arsenal played a player for the maximum of the moment and all of the extra time, but could not find a way to score. Arteta has also noted that injuries continue to pile up and Arsenal’s attacking unit is losing its star in Bukayo Saka and seriously lacking in confidence. However, despite those setbacks, they are Liverpool’s top Premier League contenders and can close the hole on Liverpool to just 4 issues with a win. All is not lost though, the Gunners want a big win to get back on track.
As for Tottenham, Angel Posetcoglou has had to deal with a major injury crisis in his defensive unit that has seen Spurs cave in the league and a more sensible finish to four now seems unlikely. The teenagers in the line-up week after week in recent weeks and beating Liverpool at home in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final last week have given Posetcoglou and his players plenty of confidence. If the Spurs are to have a chance of finishing in the most sensible four, they actually want a big win to pat the morale of a winnable streak of games and get some key players back from injuries soon.
