Former Arsenal star Eduardo told the Gunners to move to Marcus Rashford this summer.
Eduardo’s comments come, of course, after Arsenal were connected with the Manchester United boy and after the player himself, for the first time, admitted earlier this year that he might be fit to play outside manchester United: “I would like to never say no (playing in another country).
“I’m a big fan of Real Madrid and Barcelona, because they’ve had wonderful players and they’ve played exciting football. Everyone is looking at Real Madrid and Barcelona.
And while Rashford’s form has been pretty bad lately, it wasn’t his lack of aim that encouraged Eduardo to warn Arsenal to point to Rashford.
Instead, Eduardo told his former club rashford as he does not use himself as a striker:
“Marcus Rashford is one of the names that has been linked with Arsenal this summer. But is he the right player to enter and occupy this number position? No,” he said.
“He doesn’t play as a striker at Manchester United, so why would Arsenal bring him in if they want a striker?I don’t know if he has the right ability to step in and do the task that Arsenal want him to do. “
And given the current state of Arsenal’s attacking department, it’s easy to see why Eduardo would possibly have such thoughts.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are lately the Gunners’ herbal 9 and are at the end of their contracts this summer.
And although Lacazette is showing symptoms again, he has only scored two goals in La Liga this season, which is not enough for any team, except one that has ambitions in the four most sensitive.
