Arsenal have reportedly submitted a new “investigation” into Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig as they look to indicate long-term target Benjamin Sesko.
The Gunners are missing out on a very sensible striker a lot as they have struggled against purpose this season.
Mikel Arteta’s look has been toothless versus purposeless without star Bukayo Saka and has also become overly reliant on sets.
Arsenal’s problems have been compounded recently as Gabriel Jesus has been ruled for the rest of this season. That leaves Arteta with Kai Hvertz as his central forward option.
The North London outfit has signed a new striker in the summer, but they failed to win a striker after not lacking Sesko.
Sesko has one of Europe’s most productive young strikers and signed a contract extension after Arsenal made him their summer target.
Despite this, the 21-year-old Sesko, who has thirteen goals in his 25 appearances this season, is expected to leave the Bundesliga aspect in 2025 in the interest of elite European clubs.
Firstly, there was speculation that a move would be finished in the summer, however, Arsenal’s upheavals may simply force a replacement and TalkSport reports that they “have taken the first step towards a £70m January transfer”.
The Gunners have conducted an “interim investigation”, the report states that there are two “complications”.
“North London Club have revived their interest in last year’s Sesko, although a mid-season move is tricky, with his club reluctant to sell at this level despite Leipzig being knocked out of the Champions League.
“To make things more complicated, Sesko’s agent has made it transparent that a January loan resolution is an option. “
Arsenal is also connected to the prospective and the long -term objective of Dusan Vlahovic has been mentioned.
The Premier League giants in the past attacked the Serbian foreigner in the winter 2022 movement window, but missed out on Juventus.
A move report claims Juventus are “open” to letting the striker leave this month, but “talks” with Arsenal have “broken down”.
“Football transfers reported earlier this month that Arsenal had made an initial offer for the Juventus striker, but that his loan was rejected through the Serie A giants.
“Arsenal and Juventus have continued talks ever since, with the Bianconeri making it transparent that they sell Vlahovic for a fee of money.
“FootballTransfers has now learned that those conversations have now hurt.
“Arsenal are making plans to point out a new striker this month due to his goalscoring disorders this season, as well as the recent ACL injury sustained through Gabriel Jesus. There are a number of possible targets with Wolves’ Matheus Cunha Maximo likely now, as reported via FootballTransfers on Tuesday.
“Any chance of Vlahovic ending up in the Emirates is now unlikely. “
