Arsenal v Liverpool: The wonder of Community Shield on cards at Wembley

Betfair bets

“Four of the last six Community Shield games have recorded less than 30 reserve points, while 3 of the last five league games between the two clubs have also.”

Back 30 booking issues – 6/5

2020 a year like no other, but the Community Shield remains the ‘traditional backdrop’ of the English football season.

It even happens in August. As a reproduction of a secure Disney soundtrack, many parents will have also heard during the many youth-filled days of the year, some things never change.

After the protracted 2019/20 campaign, Premier League champions Liverpool began pre-season education until 19 August. For Arsenal, the FA Cup winner, the return came here before this week, on Monday to be precise. However, neither of us had left for a few weeks.

Therein lies the difference between this year’s Shield contest: it enters the preseason very temporarily and, due to the next foreign window, takes position two weeks before the start of the league campaign, which the same previous one.

Solid gunners

This replacement in cases of the norm makes Arsenal, the abundant underdogs, adapt.

They finished 2019/20 (just four weeks ago) in form, beating Wolves, Liverpool (2-1 in The League Emirates), Manchester City and Chelsea in the final month of the season. Overall, they won 8 of their 12 games after the lockout.

New boss Mikel Arteta, who obviously stepped forward on both sides after his arrival in December, said he was “very positive about our situation” before the 4-1 week-long win over MK Dons.

This setting saw a very strong team play the first forty-five minutes. It included goalkeeper Bernd Leno and Mohamed Elneny, who was returning from a loan at Besiktas.

The much-vase William Saliba signed last summer from St Etienne before being loaned to French club, also as a central club and caught the eye.

Liverpool’s Austrian adventure

Liverpool opted to start the preseason in Austria, where they played two games, beating Stuttgart 3-0 before drawing 2-2 with Red Bull Salzburg.

Virgil van Dijk lied out of that last game on Tuesday, however, he has compatibility to play at Wembley and Trent Alexander-Arnold can also do it despite moving with one shot.

In his absence, Neco Williams began as a right-back in what was Liverpool’s forged XI. This made it disappointing that they took 2-0 at half-time to Salzburg before their teenagers kept the day.

Jurgen Klopp then spoke of “heavy legs”, not very encouraging before this match. He also commented that “the kids” were impressive in the middle of the moment, so don’t be surprised if there are any here, think of Williams, Curtis Jones and Rhian Brewster, the striker who scored 3 goals in two friendlies.

He’s 15/8 to score at any time for the Gunners.

Obviously, the Reds were very impressive last season, however, after the blockade, they failed to succeed at the top, winning only five out of nine and were unable to keep a blank sheet in their last five.

Odds of champions: mediocre value

Some defensive mistakes have infiltrated their game and, while it is simple to rule out that by saying “the name had already been earned at that time”, it is much harder to reactivate the taps than simply to stop them. Flow.

With [1.7] for the 90-minute victory, Liverpool looked bad and an Arsenal team that beat them just a few weeks ago seems tempting with [5.1].

The draw is offered at [4.4]. If that occurs, the Shield winners will be decided by penalties – Liverpool are [1.42] to lift the trophy with Arsenal at [3.25].

At this point, it is worth noting that the FA Cup WINNERS, almost the losers of this adjustment, have won Shield 12 out of 20 times since the turn of the century, although this figure includes 3 cup champions. Champions of the league.

One of last season’s chances, but in the last five years, four of Shield’s five matches saw the Cup winners beat the league champions. Three of the examples in this pattern were victories for Arsenal.

At the end of the day, a low bet on the Gunners is the risk.

The market expects targets

Targets are expected and, since the attackers are probably involved, you can see why.

More than 2.5 goals are in [1.63] history sample that only 10 of the 20 games discussed above have produced 3 or more.

The two groups that score ([1,66]) are the most productive bet, based on old trends.

That has landed in thirteen of the 20, plus nine of the 10 Arsenal-Liverpool matches since Klopp’s arrival at Anfield.

Get down on the cards

However, it’s an immersion in card markets that I like the most: less than 30 booking problems in 6/5 turn out as a bet.

The referee is Andre Marriner, the top leniency in the Premier League in terms of the cards presented last season. Eleven of his 24 league games in 2019/20 have won the bet, adding five out of seven closed doors.

The Community Shield also tends to be a low-card issue, which is not surprising given its friendly pre-season nature.

Four of the last six have recorded fewer than 30 reprimand points, while three of the last five league games between the two clubs have also done so under this line.

Besides, I can’t kick in the absence of cards at all.

This happened in Marriner’s last appearance at Shield, when Chelsea faced Manchester United in 2010, and also achieved the 2018 renovation.

Liverpool played five league games without a card last season and finished with the disciplinary record.

Arsenal was at the other end of the fair play table, but 13/1 on the lack of cards at Wembley is still a little high.

Made of opt

Outside of league games, Liverpool has won one of their last seven matches at Wembley. Arsenal, meanwhile, has lost one of its last 12 games.
