Liverpool faces Arsenal for the Community Shield at Wembley as they play for the first silver medal this season.

Whether you consider the Community Shield as a primary trophy or not, it’s a well-fought game between two of the most productive groups in the country and probably wouldn’t be different, even without fans.

“Would I like to play a smart game after two weeks of preparation? No,” Klopp said this week. “But it’s not a friendly, it’s a real match against Arsenal.”

It’s only been four weeks since the Gunners lifted the FA Cup after beating Chelsea, but it’s been eight years since Liverpool last won at Wembley.

Here’s everything you want to know:

The setting begins today, Saturday, August 29, at 4:30 p.m.

The setting will be streamed live by BT Sport 1 and can be viewed through BT Sport subscribers on TV and on BT Sport’s online page and app.

There will be highlights on BBC One from 22.20am.

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has returned to education following a knee injury, while defence William Saliba is forced to make his debut.

For Liverpool, Virgil van Dijk will have compatibility after recovering from a head injury suffered in Tuesday’s friendly against Salzburg, but Trent Alexander-Arnold is in doubt. Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joel Matip are absent.

Arsenal: Leno; Saliba, Luiz, Tierney; Bellerin, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, Saka; Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Keita, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Arsenal has fond memories of Wembley lately, but Liverpool is almost complete and will have too much quality. Arsenal 1-2 Liverpool.
