The Brazilian striker has played for Arsenal ever since, but racked up 90 minutes for Brazil on Tuesday night in a 1-0 loss to Argentina.
Mikel Arteta has now shown his return for the Gunners when they visited the Bees in the scheduled kick-off, knowing that a win would put them at the top of the table.
Leandro Trossard joins Jesus in the squad as Arteta names an attacking XI in west London.
In addition to Jesus, the Gunners will welcome captain Odegaard again.
Odegaard missed the last three Arsenal games due to concussion protocols and was also absent from Norway’s matches against the Faroe Islands and Scotland last week, having also suffered from a hip injury.
Ben White missed Arsenal’s last game, a 3-1 win over Burnley, and is on the bench following a knee problem.
