The debatable card of Myles Lewis-Skellly has Liverpool followers on the Premier League website.
Lewis-Skelly, 18, was sent through referee Michael Oliver in the 43rd minute for a foul on Wolves defender Matt Doherty in Saturday’s Premier League match.
Arsenal players and staff were visibly exasperated throughout the ruling with many fans believing that Oliver, 39, deserves to have a yellow card rather than a red.

Shortly after, the Premier League launched through its match center at X.
“The referee’s call of a red card for Lewis-Skelly was checked and confirmed by VAR, who deemed his challenge to have been serious foul play,” read the post.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta may mildly express his frustration at the discussion of the incident with Sky Sports after full-time.

“It’s so transparent and I’ll leave it to you,” Arteta told Sky Sports. “I’m probably furious. But I’m going to leave it with you, with shame that I don’t think my words will help. “
However, since Saturday, Oliver has been the subject of “threats” and “abuse,” prompting PGMOL to issue a press release.
“We are appalled by the threats and abuse directed at Michael Oliver after Wolverhampton Wanderers played Arsenal,” he said.

“No public official will be subjected to any kind of abuse, let alone the heinous attacks on Michael and his family over the past 24 hours.
“The police are aware, and a number of investigations have commenced.
“We support Michael and all those affected and we are committed to fighting this unacceptable behavior.
“Unfortunately, this is not the first time that a FIT manager has been forced to deal with threats in recent times. We will continue in all investigations. “
Now, Oliver’s resolve in the Molineux match has led Liverpool enthusiasts to capture the Premier League website.

Reds fans have seen that the graphic used for the ‘high foot situations’ targeting segment on the league’s online page is one of the demanding situations Jeremy Doku threw at Alexis’ 1-1 draw Mac Allister Liverpool with Manchester City in March 2024.
At the time, it was a huge game in the 2023/24 Premier League name race. However, the challenge posted on the online page has not been given as a fault.
In the 98th minute of the match at Anfield, Doku, 22, appeared to catch Mac Allister, 26, with a high boot when challenging for a bouncing ball in City’s penalty area.

The VAR verified the action and chose to send Oliver to the monitor, which had no consequences for the home team.
