Arsenal teenager Trae Coyle joined Gillingham on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old will spend the 2020–2021 season at Priestfield Stadium.
The striker is the moment Arsenal recruits to sign for Gillingham after 20-year-old defender Zech Medley made the same move this week.
Steve Evans’ League One team announced the deal Thursday and Coyle participated in their first consultation with his new colleagues this morning.
The club also commented that Evans had been in normal contact with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta the summer.
“It brings is a very exciting young skill and is able to continue its football studies,” Gillingham boss Evans told the club’s official website.

“He is very at Arsenal and his performances have made him a highly sought-after loan player.
“Bring has a lot to learn, your progression is entrusted to us but, in reality, your attitude and your painting speed will be your good fortune at the point of Ligue 1 because you are a very, very talented boy.
“I had a wide variety of clubs here in England, Holland and Germany, so we’re very happy to have the kid here.”
Coyle added: “I’m extremely happy to be here, it’s a big step for me.

“I’m getting to the age when I want to play men’s football and I think it’s a smart position for me to have my first season.
“I’m very excited, I can’t wait to get started. I’m an artistic player who likes to make opportunities and take the ball.”
Coyle has scored 20 goals in 77 appearances for Arsenal’s under-18 and under-23 teams, and has never made a senior appearance for the North London club.
The London-born winger, who plays basically from the right, has represented England under 16 and under 17.
