Arsenal’s target, Gabriel Magalhaes, will take a stand on his long career this weekend, according to reports. Lille’s defence has been linked to Everton, Napoli and Manchester United.
And Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has known Gabriel as an option as he looks towards his bottom line.
The Spanish coach has already signed Pablo Mari from Flamengo while the Gunners have received William Saliba from Saint-Etienne.
Arteta has also tied David Luiz for a year from his contract, while they would possibly have trouble locating buyers for Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Calum Chambers is expected to launch until 2021, and lately Saliba, Mari and Luiz are expected to be Arteta’s 3 most sensible options.
But it has been decided that Gabriel is a target to relieve pressure on Frenchman Saliba, who turned 19 in March and has only 36 senior appearances to his credit.
The Brazilian would be an exciting addition given his prospect and, in reality, northern Londoners would settle a baseline that has revealed 48 goals in 38 high-level games.
While Arsenal was forged more defensively than Arteta, the Americans’ mistakes proved their defeat in several events, as they finished eighth in the Final Premier League table.
A value of between 25 and 27 million pounds has been discussed around Gabriel, who is half left, but his firm’s festival is probably fierce.
And ESPN says the player will take a resolution on what he’ll do this weekend, with Arsenal, Everton and United among the English clubs waiting for news.
Arsenal, on the other hand, will play in the Europa League next season and Everton is in Europe.
However, this absolutely rules out the Gunners or Toffees if they can offer Gabriel a tempting contract to move to Emirates or Goodison Park respectively.
“As for what the player needs to do, the recommendation I have is that he is very willing to play in the Premier League,” Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast.
“He will play in the Champions League again, he clearly played in the Champions League this season with Lille.
“Lille did not qualify, it is in the Europa League, because it has not controlled to return to the Champions League before the end of the French season.
“But there is no specific preference given to my recommendation and this can well be summed up through the club that gives the monetary situation and can satisfy Lille by achieving this mark of 30 million euros in moving fees.”
Arsenal reached a deal with Willian on a single play by Chelsea with the Brazilian on a three-year contract with the Emirates.
And European football expert Julien Laurens said of the deal on the Gab and Juls podcast: “It’s a debate, it’s going to be 32 years later this month, is it too long?”
“David Luiz’s influence on the young players in this locker room is very important. Maybe Willian’s the same.
But what you did with Luiz is that you gave him a contract one plus one, which I think is the right thing to do last summer.
“I don’t think Willian is even a two plus one, so you had a way of doing things with older players, so you absolutely replaced to give contracts to those who are 32 years old. Let’s hope it works for them.”
