Asian Cup 2023: Latest Fixtures, Results, Schedule, Organisation Tables & How to Watch in UK | football

The round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup is taking shape.

Japan could face South Korea after only managing to finish second in Group D, Iraq, before the Koreans’ final match against Malaysia on Thursday.

Such a matchup would send home one of the pre-tournament favorites in a festival that has largely avoided upsets so far.

Australia, Iran and Saudi Arabia are also qualified for the round of 16 in Qatar, along with hosts and countries such as Palestine, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The top four third-placed teams will join the eight countries that automatically qualify for the next round.
