Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca has spoken about his team’s Coppa Italia final against Juventus next month.
La Dea and the Bianconeri secured spots in this week’s final and will repeat the 2021 final, won by Juventus.
Juventus are the biggest club and most others consider them favourites against Atalanta, but finals are unpredictable.
The worst thing Juventus can do as a team will be to underestimate Atalanta, who have been in excellent form this season.
They knocked Liverpool out of the Europa League and are in the semi-finals of the competition, so they have pedigree in cup competitions.
Before the final, Scamacca said, quoted by Football Italia:
“There are no favourites in the final, it’s an exclusive game, we’re going to give it our all. “
Juve FC says
Scamacca knows it will be a tough game, but he has the right to be sure of himself, because we are only favourites on paper.
We have to swoon for this game and win the trophy for the fans.
It may not be easy and we’ve struggled to win something since Allegri came back, but it’s a day that will define our careers.
Most of the Bianconeri’s current players are expected to leave the club, and some may just play for a long time in this game, so they have to do their best.
