Ademola Lookman is in Atalanta’s squad for tomorrow’s Serie A season opener, opposite Lecce amid reports he has requested a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
It would be a devastating blow for La Dea, who are already missing Teun Koopmeiners due to a similar scenario with talks with Juventus.
This morning a rumour emerged that PSG had contacted Lookman’s entourage and asked about his availability.
Although no offer was made to the club, it was enough to catch the Nigerian international’s attention and it is understood that he asked not to be called up for Monday’s match against Lecce.
His call-up does not appear in the official list of the team that will travel to Lecce for today’s Serie A match.
He will celebrate his 27th birthday in October and scored a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen last season.
Atalanta bought Lookman from RB Leipzig in 2022 for €9. 35 million plus bonuses.
Born and raised in London, he has scored a total of 32 goals and 18 assists in 79 competitive games for Atalanta, most recently in the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday.
This leaves the Bergamo boys with two available forwards, with Mateo Retegui and Charles De Ketelaere, with Gianluca Scamacca and Nicolo’ Zaniolo injured.
