PORTUGAL: Metro do Porto has awarded Alstom a contract for the supply of signalling, protection and systems for the Pink Line project.
The first section of the Pink Line will be underground for 3 km, from São Bento to Boavista-Casa da Música, serving 4 stations and access to the city center. The Porto Metro plans to progressively extend the line to shape it into a circular route.
Announcing the order on March 12, Alstom announced that it would supply its Cityflo 250 signaling, adding “state-of-the-art” blocking and real-time monitoring. The assignment will be controlled from your Maia in Porto.
PORTUGAL: Metro do Porto has awarded a €379. 5 million contract for the H (Ruby) tram line to the consortium formed by Alberto Couto Alves, FCC Construcción y Contratas y Ventas. Line H, 6. 4 km long, would connect Casa da Música with lines A, B, C, E, matrix.

PORTUGAL: Metro do Porto has officially unveiled the first of 18 CT-class light rail cars ordered from CRRC Tangshan, ahead of their scheduled entry into service in May. CRRC Tangshan beat Siemens Mobility and Škoda Transportation to win the €49. 6 million order funded through the Ministry of Finance.
