Celtic players are starting to enjoy a smart week abroad as matches come and go at a frenetic pace.
Callum McGregor played a pivotal role in Scotland’s 2-2 draw against Georgia on Thursday night and TBR Celtic has recounted how Luis Palma once inspired Honduras’ 2-0 win against Mexico.
And now it’s the turn of Cameron Carter-Vickers, the 25-year-old USMT player in the 2-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago and it’s fair to say that the Celtic defender also inspired, if the US media reports are to be believed.
The ‘man mountain’ of a defender looked impressive, helped keep the United States a blank slate and it turns out the media took inspiration from the Celtic striker.

ESPN: “7 – Few court cases on center back running well with Tim Ream while making defensive interventions. “
MLS Soccer: “7 Starting alongside Ream, there’s nothing to complain about from Carter-Vickers as he and the defense ended up leaving a blank slate. “
NBC Sports: “Cameron Carter-Vickers: 8 – Celtic point guard is a very, very bad man. It obviously peaks at the age of 25.
The £6m move from Tottenham Hotspur has been very good for Celtic so far this season. Except for his mistake against Lazio, the American defender has been imperious in the Hoops’ defense.
By creating a partnership with the impressive Liam Scales, Carter-Vickers looks as forged this season as he has been in the last two seasons with his partnership with Carl Starfelt, averaging 7. 3 in the Scottish Premiership according to SofaScore football rankings.
This isn’t the first time he’s inspired abroad. Its return to U. S. action in October was long overdue, as media reports said it would bring “stability” to what appears to be a fragile bottom line.
Next up for Carter-Vickers is the second leg in Trinidad on November 21, where Celtic enthusiasts will be hoping for great functionality and an injury-free CCV.
