La Liga giants Barcelona announced on Monday the signing of a highly regarded defender.
The one in question? Mamadou Mbacké.
Defender Mbacke, on the other hand, was on loan in the Catalan capital last season, through MLS Los Angeles FC.
And the Senegalese became the protagonist of Rafa Márquez’s Barça Atlètic, forming a stellar partnership with the much-discussed Mikayil Faye.
However, an injury late in the season led to speculation that Mbacke’s stay in La Liga beyond the summer had been firmly put on hold.
The 21-year-old suffered a total rupture of the medial collateral ligament in his left ankle in May that forced him to be stabbed.
When Mbacke took to social media to announce his departure from Barcelona, the view was widespread that the members were in a position to do so.
However, as mentioned above, after the hypothesis that the deal is not yet closed recently began to spread, the return of the cap was made official on Monday.
According to a message posted on Barcelona’s website and social media, Mbacke agreed to sign new terms with the club, this time permanently:
