Barcelona are in a position to intensify their search for Arsenal’s defence, Hector Bellerin, and is in a position to come with a player in a more exchange cash deal, according to reports in Spain.
Barca and French champion Paris Saint-Germain need to tie on the right side of north London this summer, with the Gunners reluctantly in a position to take on.
However, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the Catalan club has a very small budget and will have to be artistic to beat Bellerin.
His preferred option is, first of all, to point out the 25-year-old loan with the legal responsibility to buy it permanently next summer: Arsenal are very transparent and need a heer now to be able to invest in the moving market.
If Arsenal do not need to settle for a loan, Barca will seek a permanent move, but will come with a player to reduce the overall costs of the deal.
As things are, Barcelona may not succeed in ordering Arsenal worth 25 million pounds, which they can replace if they find a customer for Nelson Semedo, valued at around 40 million pounds on the Spanish side.
It is known which Barcelona player would be willing to sacrifice Arsenal to get Bellerin, but it is an idea that Jean-Clair Todibo, Martin Braithwaite and Junior Firpo are left over.
Barca could easily pay Bellerin’s salary, especially with a series of high incomes being unloaded; Ivan Rakitic has joined Seville, so Luis Suarez deserves to leave as well.
Arsenal’s technical director, Edu, alluded to other clubs being willing to pay cash for their players on Thursday, confirming that there had been many requests for assignment and exchange such as the one proposed by Barca by Bellerin.
“Everyone is waiting, everyone needs to make redemptions, everyone talks about loans,” he told Arsenal’s website. “Where we want to be prepared is what we want to get from the outside.
“For example, many clubs ask me or tell me about player loans or player redemption, but I don’t see them willing to do the kind of things they ask me to do. “
